The Fishes and I
The Fishes And I are a 4 piece band from Southend, Essex. Forming in late 2016 they released their debut E.P 'Turning Tides' in the Autumn of 2017. Touring throughout 2018 has seen them grow into great live band. Shows are fun, energetic and passionate. With influences from early 90's bands like R.E.M, Pearl Jam and Nirvana their songs will have you singing along in no time.
Brave The Day
‘Brave The Day’ are a feisty four piece, hard hitting rock band from Southend-On-Sea, Essex. Mixing big riffs and heavy tones with a sprinkling of classic pop on top, they bring a fresh and modern twist to the rock genre, singing for the lost voice of today’s millennial generation.
Mismatched friends from childhood, Jake, Elliott and Luke grew up in a small village called Hullbridge, near Southend. After meeting Glen through the local music scene the four of them have been making a racket ever since! From competition wins to label deals headed south, the boys have learnt the hard way to do it for themselves. Creating, recording and mixing music in their home studio, they explore the subjects they see around them, dealing with issues like loss, identity, mental health and current political frustrations.
Their first release ‘Red Letter’ put a mark on the map for what the band can do and that their style of big riff, british, modern rock is the way forward. To accompany their first release, the boys created a music video twisting a typical tale of a night out with their own exaggerated sense of humour, though never straying too far from the truth. Combining the creative video with the fresh sounding track, it came to the attention of BBC Introducing in Essex - who have since championed the release of their next track ‘Mr Anxiety’.
The boys are currently gearing up to get their name further afield, finding others who relate to their views of life in the UK, including Essex, along the way. Creating music from the heart and as their name suggests, ‘Brave The Day’ aim to be a voice for people who’ve had to battle with their inner demons amoungst other struggles and to let them know they’re not alone.
KYU are a 3 piece indie rock band from Colchester Essex, who write original music ranging from sweeping melodies to punchy riffs, complemented by a side of funked up bass lines and striking drums.
